On April 1, 2020 the BALFOUR BEATTY / VINCI consortium won the contract for phase 2 of lots N1 and N2 of the HS2 project. They will cover the future high speed line from the Long Itchington Wood Green tunnel to Delta Junction / Burmingham Spur and from Delta Junction to the West Coast Main Line, for a total route of about 90km. This line will include 51 viaducts and box structures and will require a total of 1.8 million m³ of concrete.
Our technical salesman and specialist, Nicolas DUFOUR, has followed this project from study, to product defininition and proposed the most suitable earthing solutions. In order to complete this project, several thousands of earthing and equipotential pieces were used to cover the 90km of these two sections of the high speed line to ensure an optimal electrical safety.
